GUARDIANSHIP / CONSERVATORSHIP
This involves the care of someone who is developmentally
disabled, or incapacitated. This can be for a young or old
individual. The guardian takes care of the health and
safety of the individual. A conservator takes care of the
individuals financial needs. Often a guardianship and
conservatorship are sought at the same time from the court,
which requires annual reporting. An attorney can help
understand the legal requirements to be appointed as a
guardian and/or conservator.
