Jen McGarry

Jen McGarry is more than an Estate Planning & Business Administrative Assistant–she’s a welcoming presence, relationship builder, and behind-the-scenes problem solver who helps keep the firm running smoothly. Often one of the first people clients meet when they walk through the door, Jen supports the estate planning team throughout the planning process while also coordinating appointments, assisting new clients, and helping improve internal systems and processes.

Before joining Alan R. Harrison Law in 2026, Jen spent several years working in the legal field and customer service roles that allowed her to connect with people from all walks of life. Her professional background includes experience at law firms, customer support positions, and business ownership. From 2019 to 2023, she managed an axe-throwing venue before eventually becoming its owner. These experiences strengthened her skills in communication, organization, problem solving, and customer care.

One of Jen’s favorite parts of her work is building connections with people. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed helping clients navigate challenges, answering questions, and finding ways to improve processes. In a previous role, she worked closely with the legal department to develop communication standards and approved response systems that helped create consistency and efficiency across customer service teams.

Born and raised in Idaho Falls, Jen has deep roots in the community she serves. She shares her life with her longtime partner, who has helped expand both her appreciation for live music and her passion for disc golf. Outside of work, Jen enjoys caring for her ever-growing collection of houseplants, photography, puzzles, diamond art, and other creative hobbies. She has seen more than 400 bands perform live and is always looking forward to the next show. Axe throwing remains one of her greatest passions, and she competes through the World Axe Throwing League in hatchet, big axe, duals, and knife throwing events. She is currently working toward earning a bid to the World Championship. Whether spending time with friends and family, attending a concert, or competing in an event, Jen values creating spaces where people feel welcomed, supported, and comfortable being themselves. 

Throughout both her personal and professional life, Jen has always believed in creating welcoming environments where people feel comfortable, respected, and valued. That commitment to helping others feel at ease is one of the qualities that makes her such a natural fit for serving clients and supporting the team at Alan R. Harrison Law.

When her business closed, Jen was intentional about finding a workplace where she could build a long-term career. She was immediately drawn to the culture at Alan R. Harrison Law and admired the way the firm serves its clients with compassion, efficiency, and care. What keeps her here is the opportunity to be part of a team that genuinely supports one another while helping families navigate important moments in their lives.
