Jo Johnson

Jo Johnson is more than an Administrative Assistant—she’s a highly organized, adaptable team player who keeps the daily operations of the firm running smoothly. Since joining Alan R. Harrison Law in 2025, Jo has taken on a wide range of responsibilities—from answering phones and coordinating appointments to managing firm emails, supporting internal systems, processing paperwork, and maintaining accurate client records. Whether assisting clients virtually or stepping in to support the team from across the state, Jo brings structure, efficiency, and a calm presence to every part of the job.

Originally from Emmett, Idaho, Jo discovered a passion for law in high school through competitive debate and a job shadow at the local District Attorney’s office. That early spark led Jo to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy from Idaho State University, graduating with honors at just 20 years old.

Before joining the firm, Jo worked with the Idaho State Democratic Party, gaining experience in data management, outreach, and client confidentiality. Their work at Grand Teton Legal Support Services involved conducting legal intake for federal mass tort cases and refining the ability to communicate complex legal concepts with clarity and care. Jo’s sharp attention to detail and strength in written communication made her a natural fit for the administrative team at Alan R. Harrison Law.

Jo lives in Boise and comes from a large blended family as the youngest of ten children. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, drawing, making jewelry, and immersing herself in musicals. Jo also loves movement-based activities like dance and wrestling, and has a deep curiosity for mythology and philosophy.

Her commitment to service began in high school, when she helped renovate her school’s wrestling room, fundraised for new equipment, and launched Emmett High School’s first girls wrestling team. Since then, Jo has remained involved in community efforts—helping organize campus outreach events and regularly lending a hand to friends and neighbors in need.

Jo joined Alan R. Harrison Law to gain hands-on experience in the legal field and explore different areas of law—but stayed because of the team, the purpose, and the opportunity to keep learning and growing every day. With plans to attend law school in the future, Jo values every chance to deepen her understanding and make a meaningful impact along the way.
